Red Cross Shelter Training

by andy wade —

Remember the ice storms of January? Large-scale emergencies require our community to be prepared to respond to those in need. This need is beyond the scope of Hood River Warming Shelter and could be needed any time of the year. Join Vince Martinez, Portland area Red Cross Emergency Services Coordinator, March 22, 7-8pm for a Red Cross informational meeting and learn what it takes to become a Red Cross Volunteer supporting a Mass Care Shelter.

This is an informational meeting only, no commitment required to come and learn more. For those interested, we will schedule a spring date for a one-day training and simulation event which will qualify you for registration in the RC emergency shelter database.

Please Email Me if you plan to come so that we can prepare materials.
